■Research Contents
Why do people behave similarly? Why do people behave differently? My study relies on the twin method in a framework of behavior genetics to investigate factors underlying individual differences in human social traits. Specifically, I intend to clarify sources of diversity observed in social attitudes, and in educational and social achievements through statistical analyses of underlying genetic and environmental commonalities and specificities as well as interplay with IQ, personality traits, and family environments. To construct a grand theory that is useful to reinterpret traditional sociological and psychological theories, a model explaining mechanisms by which individuals, families, and societies are linked is under consideration from a new perspective.
